A major environmental journal, CR publishes papers on all aspects of climate phenomena and their effects on life.
In early 2003, Climate Research published an article by Willie Soon and Sallie Baliunas challenging the view that the late twentieth century saw anomalously high temperatures. The publication and ensuing controversy prompted the resignation of five of the ten Climate Research editors.
