The Media Institute is a research foundation concerned with "communications policy and the First Amendment."

Publishes "Commercial Speech Digest," and has put forth the myth of left-wing media bias. According to Capital Research Center, corporate funders have included Chevron, Cigna, Ameritech and Union Carbide. Foundation grants have come from Monsanto Fund, Eli Lilly and Company Foundation, Merk Company Foundation, and the Ford Motor Company Fund, among others (http://www.capitalresearch.org/search/orgdisplay.asp?Org=MED100).
