NELF is a conservative legal non-profit established under the umbrella of the National Legal Center for the Public Interest.
NELF is comprised of prominent lawyers and business people representing large insurance companies, accounting firms, utilities, universities, and corporations. It was founded c.1977 as one of the regional ventures of the National Legal Center for the Public Interest, a DC-based umbrella group created by the founders of the Pacific Legal Foundation.
